Parramatta Winterlight

In Sydney, we are in the midst of winter and what better way to experience winter than to ice skate in an outdoor rink? From 17 June to 14 July, the area outside of Parramatta Town Hall is ablaze with lights and holds an  ice skating rink.

It is great fun. Adults and children alike will enjoy the skating. For children or people who have never ice skated before, there are skating penguins to hire. These will help you to skate.

If skating is not your thing then you can enjoy coffee or hot chocolate and some delicious Turkish gozlem while sitting under a gas heater.

During the daytime there are plenty of other activities to enjoy. For more information visit: http://www.discoverparramatta.com/events/festivals/winterlight

PS. If you're wondering where Parramatta is then it is only 30 minutes away from the Sydney CBD.
